The ORNL DAAC offers several paths through which you can find the data you need. Here's a list of the main methods:

• If you know the project, use the data catalog.
• If you want to learn about projects first, use the Project Info. menu.
• If you want to search for data for a particular place, time, or many other criteria, use our advanced search
• If you want to browse for data based on a number of criteria, use our attribute search.
• For power users, use our FTP site.
• For a limited number of data sets, we offer a THREDDS Data Server Catalog.

The ORNL DAAC offers advanced data searching via its Mercury Search System. 

The Attribute Search lets you search for data by selecting specific search criteria. For example, you can search by project name, data set name, investigator, geophysical parameter, sensor, or platform. As you indicate each search criteria, the data sets that fit that criteria will be returned and you can read more about them or order the data sets you want.

Our THREDDS Data Server Catalog allows users to find data products, access them, and use them without necessarily downloading the entire file. Please note that our THREDDS Data Server has a limited number of data products. Visit our TDS page to learn more.
