BOREAS RSS-17 ERS-1 Images

The descriptions of the parameters contained in the ERS-1 image inventory 
file are:

         Column Name                             Description
------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------
Date:Time                      The date and time (Greenwich Mean Time) when the 
                               image was acquired.
Day/Night Flag                 A 'D' indicates that the image was acquired 
                               during daylight conditions and an 'N' indicates 
                               that the image was acquired at night.
Ascending/Descending           An 'A' indicates that the image was acquired 
                               during an ascending orbit of the satellite and a 
                               'D' indicates that the image was acquired during 
                               a descending orbit of the satellite.
Repeat Cycle Number            A value of 3 indicates the data to be part of the 
                               ice mapping phase and a value of 168 indicates 
                               the data to part of the geodetic mapping phase.
Orbit ID                       The orbit number within the repeat cycle
Site                           Abbreviations for the area covered by the image:
                               NH - The Nelson House area (also known as the 
                                    Northern Study Area (NSA))
                               NHC - The central portion of NH
                               NHE - The eastern portion of NH
                               NHW - The western portion of NH
                               EONH - East of the NH area
                               WONH - West of the NH area
                               PA - The Prince Albert National Park area (also 
                                    known as the Southern Study Area (SSA))
                               PAC - The central portion of PA
                               PAE - The eastern portion of PA
                               PAW - The western portion of PA
                               EOPA - East of the PA area
                               WOPA - West of the PA area
                               TRAN - The transect area between PA and NH
Site Hit Indicator             An indicator of whether or not the image covers 
                               the areas of interest.  Potential values are: 
                               yes, no, or ?; where a '?' indicates that it is 
                               not known if the site is covered by the image.
Low Res Image ID               The ASF Processor identifier for the low 
                               resolution image that was acquired.  A blank 
                               value indicates that a low resolution image was 
                               not processed or ordered.
Full Res Image ID              The ASF Processor identifier for the full 
                               resolution image that was acquired.  A blank 
                               value indicates that a full resolution image was 
                               not processed or ordered.
Center Latitude                The center North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83) 
                               latitude coordinate of the image area.  A value 
                               of 99.99999 indicates that the value is not 
                               known.
Center Longitude               The center North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83) 
                               longitude coordinate of the image area.  A value 
                               of 99.99999 indicates that the value is not 
                               known.
