BOREAS and Boreal Forest Informational CD-ROMs

Summary:

The Canadian Secretariat and personnel from the Canada Center for Remote Sensing (CCRS) and Parks Canada created two CD-ROMs that contain information about the BOReal Ecosystem-Atmosphere Study (BOREAS) and the boreal forest in general. At the time of release in early 1995, the Compact Disk-Read Only Media (CD-ROM) about BOREAS was available for both Intel-based and Macintosh personal computers (PC). The CD-ROM contains background information about the boreal forest and the BOREAS activities. Information on the CD-ROM is organized into various categories and is presented through audio dialogue and series of still pictures.
